# Loading an updated Joe template into your campaign

> Has the designer updated your Joe template? Here is how to use the new version by reloading the template or starting a new campaign.

If the designer has updated your custom [Joe](/begrippenlijst#joe) template, you can apply those changes to your newsletter yourself. How you do this depends on whether the structure of the template has changed.

## Minor change: reload the template

If the structure of your template has stayed the same and the designer has only made a minor change to your design, reload the template. To do this, go to step 4 and click ‘Reload template, keep content’ in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. Any content you have already added to your newsletter will remain in place.

## Structural change: start a new campaign

If the designer has changed the structure of your template, for example by adding a block to it, you will need to rebuild your campaign from scratch once. To do this, start a new campaign via Campaigns → Overview and select the new template in step 3.

> **Warning**
>
> For a structural change, you cannot copy an old campaign or click ‘Reload template, keep content’ in step 4. A copy always uses the template that belonged to that old campaign, as the content of the copied campaign could otherwise be displayed incorrectly.
