# Sharing a template with a share link

> Give another Laposta user a copy of your drag & drop template or custom template.

With a share link, you can share a drag & drop template or a custom template with other Laposta users. This is useful, for example, for a colleague with their own account, a client, or an agency working for you. Anyone who opens the link sees a preview and can import a copy of it into their own account with a single click.

## Sharing a template

Every template has its own share link:

#### Open your templates

Go to Campaigns → Templates and choose ‘Drag & drop’ or ‘Import’.

#### Choose Share for the template

Click ‘Share’ next to the template you want to share.

#### Create the share link

Click ‘Create share link’.

#### Copy and send the link

Click the copy icon next to the link and forward the link, for example by email.

The link continues to work until you stop sharing or delete the template. On the same page, you can see how many times the template has been imported via the link.

Anyone who imports the template receives it as it is at that moment. After that, it is a separate copy: if you edit your template later, the other person's copy does not change. Conversely, whatever the other person does with the copy has no effect on your template.

## Stopping sharing

Go to the template, click ‘Share’ and then ‘Stop sharing’. The link will then stop working. Templates that have already been imported will remain in place. If you want to share the template again later, you can create a new link. The old link will not become active again.

## Importing a shared template

If you have received a share link, you can add the template to your own account as follows:

#### Open the link and log in

Open the share link. If you are not logged in yet, log in first. You will then automatically be taken to the page with a preview of the template and see who is sharing it with you.

#### Add it to your templates

Click ‘Add to my templates’. The template is now in your templates, under ‘Drag & drop’ or ‘Import’.

> **Note**
>
> The template is added to the account you are currently working in. If you have access to multiple accounts, first open the account in which you want to have the template. In addition, you need permission to add templates.

## Frequently asked questions

#### Who can see my template?

Only Laposta users who have the link and are logged in. Therefore, only share the link with someone you want to give your template to, and stop sharing when that is no longer the case.

#### The link does not work

Then sharing has been stopped or the template has been deleted. Ask the person who sent you the link for a new link.

#### I do not see a Share button

There are three possible reasons for this: it is a standard Laposta template, you do not have permission to edit templates, or the custom template is not quite finished yet.

#### I see the message 'You currently cannot share templates from this account.'

Sharing is only possible from an account that is allowed to send campaigns. If your account is new and has not been approved yet, you can share templates as soon as your account is approved. If you think this is incorrect, please contact the helpdesk at [helpdesk@laposta.nl](mailto:helpdesk@laposta.nl).
