# Importing existing contacts from PerfectView

> Read which data the PerfectView integration transfers and how to import existing contacts once via Excel.

Once the connection with PerfectView is active, your subscriber list in Laposta will be updated automatically. You can read how to set up the connection in [Connect PerfectView](/wat-is-perfectview).

## Which data is transferred

For each contact (of customers, prospects, and so on), the first name, last name, and email address are transferred to Laposta. The general email address of the organisation itself is not transferred.

## Importing existing contacts as a one-off

The connection only passes on changes and new data. Contacts that were already in PerfectView before you set up the connection will not be added automatically. You can import these as a one-off via an export from PerfectView:

#### Create an export in PerfectView

On the left-hand side, go to Meer → Personen / Contactpersonen (More → People / Contacts) and create an export to Excel under ‘Acties’ (Actions).

#### Put the name into separate columns

Under ‘Acties’ (Actions), select the ‘Kopiëren’ (Copy) option to split the name into separate columns, such as surname, name prefix, and first name. In the standard export, the surname is combined into a single column with the initials and first name. Having separate name columns allows you to personalise your newsletters in Laposta.

#### Import the file into Laposta

In Laposta, go to ‘Subscribers’, click on the list where the data should be added, and select ‘Add’. Then complete the [import in a few steps](/hoe-importeer-ik-een-groot-relatiebestand).
