# Placing the embedded subscribe form in WordPress

> Install the plugin, connect with your API key and choose where to show the form.

With the Signup Embed plugin, you can place Laposta's embedded form on your WordPress site. New subscribers are automatically added to your list. You can install the plugin from your WordPress admin or download it via [wordpress.org/plugins/laposta-signup-embed](https://wordpress.org/plugins/laposta-signup-embed/).

Signup Embed is one of the plugins you can use to [connect WordPress to Laposta](/hoe-kan-ik-wordpress-koppelen-aan-laposta).

## Installing and connecting Signup Embed

#### Install the plugin in WordPress

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin. Search for ‘Laposta Signup Embed’, click ‘Install Now’ and then ‘Activate’.

#### Open the plugin settings

In the WordPress Dashboard, go to the overview of your plugins and click ‘Settings’ under Laposta Signup Embed.

#### Enter your API key

Enter an [API key](/hoe-kom-ik-aan-een-api-sleutel) from your Laposta account to establish the connection and click ‘Reset Cache’. You will now see an overview of your lists.

#### Choose where the form appears for each list

Set where you want to show the embedded form for each list: nowhere, on every page, or on specific pages.

## Showing the form on every page or on specific pages

The difference between these two options is where the JavaScript file is loaded: in the header of every page, or at the exact location of the shortcode. For both options, the settings of the embedded form in your Laposta account apply.

#### On every page

The plugin loads an external JavaScript file in the header of every page on your website.

> **Warning**
>
> Do not choose this option if you have selected the display option ‘At the place of the code’ for the embedded form of this list in Laposta.

#### On specific pages

Copy the automatically generated shortcode in WordPress, click ‘Save Changes’, and paste the shortcode into a ‘Shortcode’ block on the pages where you want to show the form. The external JavaScript file will be loaded at that exact location.

If your WordPress template does not have a ‘Shortcode’ block, use a ‘Custom HTML’ block instead. Retrieve the JavaScript for your form as described in [Embedded form on your website](/hoe-plaats-ik-het-ingebedde-aanmeldformulier) and paste it into that block.

## Designing the form

You do not configure what the form looks like in WordPress, but in your Laposta account:

#### [Design and display of the embedded form](/algemene-vormgeving-en-instellingen-van-het-ingebedde-aanmeldformulier)

Background, borders, and how the form appears on your site.

#### [Fields in the embedded form](/weergave-en-vormgeving-velden)

Which fields you show, which are required, and what they look like.

#### [Text in the embedded form](/inhoud-en-vormgeving-tekst)

The header and intro, including font and colours.

#### [Image in the embedded form](/invoeren-en-vormgeven-afbeelding)

Adding and customising a logo or other image.
