# Sending an invitation to a meeting

> Send an invitation to a meeting or event using an own list and subscribeform.

An invitation is a regular campaign containing a link to a subscribe form. For the meeting, you create a separate list and let invitees sign up via the [standalone subscribe form](/hoe-kom-ik-aan-een-aanmeldformulier) for that list. This keeps the registrations separate from your regular subscriber list.

## Creating a list and subscribe form

#### Create a list for the meeting

[Create a new list](/hoe-maak-ik-een-nieuwe-lijst-aan) in your account. Everyone who registers will be added to this list.

#### Add the fields you need

Add [extra fields](/hoe-maak-ik-extra-velden-aan-voor-mijn-lijst) for the details you want to ask your invitees, such as which workshop or activity they choose.

#### Set up the subscribe form

Go to Subscribers → your list → Enrich and [edit the standalone subscribe form](/hoe-pas-ik-het-zelfstandig-aanmeldformulier-aan). Also edit the thank-you page and save your changes once you are happy with the text, settings, and design.

#### Copy the link to the form

Choose one of the link options for the form and copy it. If you use the link ending in '\&email=\{\{email}}', your subscriber's email address will already be filled in when they open the form.

#### Place the link in your invitation

Insert the link into the campaign you are sending as an invitation, behind some text, a button, or an image.

## Sending a confirmation after registration

If you want to automatically send a confirmation to subscribers who have registered, you can use a simple automation. This works in the same way as [an automatic welcome email](/automatisch-een-weggever-versturen-na-een-inschrijving).

## Registering via the edit form

If your invitees are already in an existing list, you can also [edit the edit form](/waar-vind-ik-het-wijzigingsformulier) and use it instead of a subscribe form. Your subscribers will then update their own profile with their registration for the meeting.
