# Downloading your sent newsletter as a PDF or printing it

> You can download a sent campaign directly as a PDF in your account, or print the webversion via your browser.

There are two ways to save or print a sent campaign. In Laposta, you can download a PDF with a fixed layout in just two clicks. Alternatively, you can use your browser's print menu to set the scale, margins and backgrounds yourself.

## Downloading as a PDF

#### Open the campaign overview

In your account, go to Campaigns → Overview.

#### Open the sent newsletter

Next to the sent newsletter, click ‘View’.

#### Download the PDF

Scroll down slightly and click ‘Download as pdf’ under the ‘Newsletter’ heading.

In the PDF, your newsletter looks just as it did when you sent it: the links work and you can select the text. The layout itself is fixed. You cannot adjust the white space on the left and right, or where an article or block breaks across pages.

If you are using a custom template of [the Joe type](/begrippenlijst#joe), you can often insert (or have someone insert) specific page breaks. This allows you to decide where a page breaks in the PDF file. If you have built your own template, you can set this using the `lp-pagebreak` class, as described in [Template tags to repeat blocks](/tags-om-blokken-te-herhalen).

## Printing via your browser

If you want more control over the layout, print your newsletter using the web version. Next to the sent campaign, click ‘View’ and then ‘View web version’, as described in [Finding and sharing the web version](/waar-vind-ik-de-webversielink-van-mijn-verzonden-nieuwsbrief). Your newsletter will open in a new browser window.

Next, open your browser's print menu. This menu varies by browser, but you will almost always find the following settings:

* the printer, or an option such as ‘Save as PDF’
* the print size
* whether background images and colours are included in the print
* whether page numbers, your website address and similar details are shown
* the scaling, meaning whether you print across the full page width or scale the newsletter down

> **Tip**
>
> When printing a web page, browsers leave out all background colours and patterns by default. In the print dialogue, click ‘More settings’ and enable the option for background images (‘Background graphics’) so that your newsletter prints properly.

If your newsletter is long, printing it across multiple pages is useful for readability. Keep in mind that a page break may still fall in an awkward spot in your newsletter.

## Printing your newsletter on a single page

If you want to print your newsletter on a single page or save it as a single-page PDF, adjust the scale. You can use the following settings to do this in Firefox. In other browsers, the fields have slightly different names.

| Setting | Value in this example |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Destination | Save to PDF |
| Orientation | Portrait |
| Pages | Current, so only the displayed page is printed |
| Paper size | A4 |
| Scale | 53% (find a suitable percentage by changing the number and checking the print preview) |
| Pages per sheet | 1 |
| Margins | Default (you can also select ‘None’ here) |
