# Copying formatting to other blocks

> How to copy the design of a block all at once to all other blocks of the same type in your newsletter.

Once you have nicely formatted a block, you can copy that design to all other blocks of the same type all at once. This means you do not have to go through all the buttons in your newsletter one by one, for example. This works for all block types, except for the columns block.

## Copying a design to other blocks

Go to the ‘Design’ tab of the block you are using as an example and tick ‘Copy the design of this block to all other blocks of this type’. All other blocks of this type will immediately be given the same design. If you untick the box again, those blocks will return to their original formatting.

When you tick this box, you can also choose which blocks it applies to: only the blocks within the same column, or only the blocks outside of it. This allows you to adjust the titles above three products placed side by side all at once, for example.

## Difference from the default formatting

Directly below this tick box is ‘Use this design for new blocks’. Copying adjusts the blocks that are already in your newsletter. By [setting the formatting as the default](/de-opmaak-van-een-blok-als-standaard-instellen), you determine what blocks will look like when you add them afterwards.
