# Starting an automation when a subscriber receives a label

> Start an automation as soon as a subscriber receives a label. You configure which list and which label this applies to, and whether the automation executes once or multiple times.

With this starting event, your automation begins as soon as a subscriber receives a [label](/labels).

## Choosing a list

Choose the list in which the subscriber receives the label. You can also select ‘Any list’, in which case it does not matter which list the subscriber is in.

Choose here whether the automation starts for any label, or only for a specific label.

## Running once or multiple times

Under the ‘Executes’ field, you can choose between ‘Once’ and ‘Multiple times’. By default, this is set to ‘Once’. If you choose ‘Multiple times’, the automation will start again as soon as the subscriber receives a label again.
