# Placing template tags for unsubscribing, editing and the webversion

> Place the links to unsubscribe, subscribe, edit details and view the webversion directly in your own HTML template.

Laposta has four special links that allow recipients to unsubscribe, subscribe, edit their details or view the webversion. You can add these links while adding content to your newsletter (in the editor of an [`lp-multiline`](/tags-om-tekst-te-wijzigen)), or you can include them directly in your template.

> **Note**
>
> These tags only apply to an imported HTML template. If you work in the drag & drop editor, see [Finding the webversion, edit and unsubscribe links](/waar-vind-ik-de-webversie-wijzigings-en-afmeldlink).

Each link consists of a single tag. You can choose the text between the opening and closing tag yourself.

| Link | Tag | Purpose |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Unsubscribe | `<lp-unsubscribe>Unsubscribe</lp-unsubscribe>` | This allows recipients to unsubscribe. This link is required when importing a template. |
| Edit details | `<lp-editprofile>Edit details</lp-editprofile>` | This allows recipients to edit their own details in the [edit form](/waar-vind-ik-het-wijzigingsformulier). |
| Subscribe | `<lp-subscribe>Subscribe</lp-subscribe>` | If your newsletter is forwarded, the new reader can subscribe themselves. |
| Webversion | `<lp-webversion>View web version</lp-webversion>` | This allows recipients to view the newsletter in their browser. |

It is advisable to include the edit link and the webversion link in every newsletter by default. To find out why an unsubscribe link is required not only when importing, read [An unsubscribe link is required in a newsletter](/is-een-afmeldlink-verplicht-in-een-nieuwsbrief).
