# Why can't you send an attachment with your newsletter?

> You cannot send an attachment, but you can link from your newsletter to a file in Media.

Laposta deliberately does not send files as attachments in the email itself. Linking to a file from your newsletter works better for the following reasons:

* Your newsletter stays small and therefore loads quickly for your subscribers.
* Your newsletter is less likely to get caught in spam and virus filters.
* In the results of your campaign, you can see how often the file has been viewed. With an attachment, you do not have that information.

This requires hardly any extra work: you [save the file in Media](/hoe-sla-ik-bestanden-op) and create a link to it from a text, button or image. The [file type hardly matters](/kan-ik-elk-bestand-in-laposta-gebruiken).
