# What are the advantages of Laposta compared to Mailchimp?

> Compared to Mailchimp, Laposta offers a fully Dutch interface, free use up to 2,000 subscribers, and a Dutch helpdesk and development environment.

Laposta is a Dutch organisation and the software is developed in the Netherlands. Compared to Mailchimp, Laposta offers the following advantages:

* Free up to 2,000 subscribers: the free account covers up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 sent emails per month. You can easily import your subscribers.
* Dutch language: the interface is entirely in Dutch. Your subscribers also receive all notifications, for example when subscribing or unsubscribing, in Dutch. You can also set a different language for your subscribers.
* GDPR and security: you comply with the requirements of the GDPR. You accept the data processing agreement directly along with the terms and conditions when applying for your account. Laposta's servers are located in the Netherlands and the company is ISO 27001 certified.
* Dutch helpdesk: you receive support in Dutch. With a paid account, you can also contact the helpdesk by telephone.
* Live statistics: every newsletter program registers how many newsletters are opened, but in Laposta this happens live. Immediately after sending, you can see the statistics coming in.
* Ease of use: you will quickly find your way around the program, whereas Mailchimp is too complicated for some.
* Drag & drop editor: just like in Mailchimp, you can use a drag & drop editor to design a responsive newsletter that displays well in all email clients. Laposta's editor gives you more freedom in terms of layout, structure and the use of web fonts.
