# What are the requirements for Laposta?

> You work in your browser via an internet connection, without extra software, hardware, or hosting.

To use Laposta, all you need is internet access, as you work in your browser.

You do not need to purchase anything: no special software, no hardware and no extra services such as hosting. There is no load on your own servers either, as the programme runs on servers maintained by Laposta itself.

What you do need is an account. [You can request a free account yourself](/hoe-vraag-ik-een-gratis-account-aan), and you will receive your login details in your inbox within a few minutes. That account remains [free](/zitten-er-beperkingen-aan-het-gratis-account) for up to 2,000 subscribers, and you can use most features.

Once you have logged in, read on at [getting started with sending newsletters](/waar-start-ik-een-nieuwsbriefcampagne).
