# What is profile enrichment by your subscribers?

> Let your subscribers view and update their data via an edit link.

With profile enrichment, your subscribers can view, edit and complete their own details.

You may only have limited details for your subscribers, or some of their details may have changed over time, such as their address or areas of interest. If you let your subscribers update these details themselves, you can better [personalise](/hoe-personaliseer-ik-mijn-nieuwsbrief) your newsletters and segment your lists more easily.

> Remind your subscribers in every newsletter that they can view their details and update them if needed.

## How does profile enrichment work?

Include an edit link in your newsletter. When a subscriber clicks it, the edit form opens automatically so they can edit and complete their own details. After saving, a thank-you page is displayed.

Laposta automatically processes the new details in your list and overwrites the old details.

## Setting up and testing the edit form

Before you can use the form, [first set up the list, the language and the fields](/wat-moet-ik-doen-voordat-ik-het-wijzigingsformulier-opmaak).
