How does profile enrichment work in practice?

Using a special link in your newsletter - the edit link - you can give your subscribers access to (part of) their subscriber data. 

When your subscriber clicks the edit link in your newsletter, they will automatically see the editing form. In this form, your subscriber can edit and supplement their own data.

After saving the edit form, your subscriber will be see a thank-you page to thank them for updating their data.

The new subscriber data are automatically added into your list (the old subscriber data will be overwritten by the new).
