What should I do before preparing the edit form?

We recommend that before you prepare the edit form, you formulate an answer to these three questions:

1. For which list do you want to prepare/create the edit form?
2. What is the language for that list?
   Do you want to create your edit form in English, Dutch, German, French, or Spanish?
   On the page Subscribers → Edit settings (for the relevant list) → General, you can change the language of the list.
3. Do you need new fields for the edit form?

When preparing the edit form, you can rename fields and make them (in)visible. However, you cannot create entirely new fields when creating the edit form. For that, go to the page Subscribers → Edit settings (for the relevant list) → General; there, you can add, rename, or permanently delete fields.
