How do I alter the standalone subscribe form?
You can alter and format the standalone subscribe form and thank-you pages yourself. If you have activated double opt-in, you can also edit the confirmation page.
Creating extra fields on the standalone subscriber form
It is good to know that the settings on the page Subscribers > Edit settings > Fields are the basis of your subscriber form.
You can add completely new fields on the page Subscribers > Edit settings > Fields. In that case, you must click 'Yes' under 'In form: Display this field on forms?'.
Altering text and layout
To edit the form and thank-you page, go to Subscribers > View > Enrich > Subscribe. Click on 'Start' under 'Standalone' (even if you are already using a form and just want to edit it).
You will see a step-by-step guide to change the form. In step 1, you edit the subscriber form, in step 2, you edit the thank-you page.
By clicking the relevant items, you can alter the layout:
- Click on the form to edit the background.
- Click 'logo' to add your own logo. Wit the arrow under your logo on the right (in the form), you can resize the image.
- You can change the heading and the intro underneath the heading in text, font, and colour.
- All of the fields showing can be edited in text, font, and colour.
- You can also indicate if these fields will be shown and/or are mandatory to fill in. Afterwards, you can easily re-add invisible fields to your form (under 'Hidden fields' which appears when you make a field invisible).
- The button on the bottom of the form can be edited in text, font and colour.
You can change the order of the fields by dragging them.
If you have a technical background, you can also add CSS to the subscribe form yourself.
Thank you page
In step 2, you have similar options to format your thank-you page. If you would rather thank your new subscribers after clicking the subscribe button through a page on your own website, you can fill out the URL of the relevant webpage and click that you want to forward your subscribers to it. If you click 'no' in the red block, your Laposta thank-you page is shown.
There is a separate form that you can use to let your subscribers change their details or to let them enrich their profile. For this, you can use the standalone edit form.
If necessary, you can duplicate the edited form by copying the relevant subscriber list.
