What fields can I use to utilize conditional content?
To put conditions into a campaign, you have to use the subscriber variables you entered into Laposta.
With those, you can indicate for each block under what conditions your subscriber can see it in your newsletter. You can also use any type of field, in these ways:
- Text field: here you can indicate if the content of a field is or is not identical to a specific value; if it starts or ends with a specific value; if it does or does not contain a specific value, and/or if the field is empty or not.
- Numeric field: here you can indicate if the content of a field is or is not identical to a specific value; if it starts or ends with a specific value; if it is smaller than, larger than, or equal to a specific value; if it does or does not contain a specific value, and/or the field is empty or not.
- Date field: here you can indicate if the content of a field is or is not identical to a specific value, and/or if it is sooner or later than a specific value.
- Multiple choice field with one option: here you can indicate if the content of a field is or is not identical to a specific value, and/or if the field is empty or not.
- Multiple choice field with several options: here you can indicate if the content of a field is or is not identical to a specific value, and/or if the field is empty or not.
You can add several 'rules' (maximal), and combine conditions. With this, you choose if all conditions need to be met (an 'and' function), or if at least one condition must be met (an 'or' function). If you have selected multiple lists as recipients for your newsletter, you can create multiple rules for each list.
Only in campaigns
You can only use conditional content in campaigns. A template and/or an email in an automation cannot include rules, so you cannot insert conditional content in these.
