How do I add a video to my newsletter?

You can add a video by dragging a Movie block into your newsletter. You can only show a preview of a video in your newsletter. That's why you are asked to include the URL of the page where the video is located in the content of this block.

In our program, a play button will automatically appear over the first image of your video.

• For YouTube videos, and videos that are embedded on your website, the video is immediately played when your subscriber clicks on the image. 
• With Vimeo clips, your subscribers will be directed to the right Vimeo page via the image in your newsletter, but they have to start the video on this page first.

GIF animations

You can include GIF animations in your newsletter. Unfortunately, not all of your subscribers' email clients will display these moving images. In that case, your GIF animation becomes a 'normal' image. There is nothing we - and other suppliers of newsletter applications - can do about this.

By way of explanation: email clients such as Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird do not permit the display of videos. To prevent abuse, email clients are deliberately kept as 'bare' as possible. For this reason, our application - and no other newsletter program - allows that a video is added directly.
