Black bars with YouTube videos
When posting a video, Laposta retrieves an image (a thumbnail) of the clip from the YouTube servers. This thumbnail is used in the newsletter (with a play button placed over it).
Sometimes this thumbnail contains black bars at the top and bottom or at the sides.
These bars are added if the movie has a different aspect ratio than 16:9. This is the default YouTube ratio.
How can I remove the black bars?
To get rid of the black bars, it is possible to enter your own thumbnail in YouTube. You will then have to replace the first thumbnail, which is the one that will be chosen by our program. On the YouTube website, you can read instructions on how to replace the thumbnail.
