Can I personalise my newsletter?
Yes, you can easily personalise your newsletters.
You can use all extra data you have entered about your subscribers (aside from the email address) to personalise your newsletter. For instance, you can address your subscriber by their first or last name, or use other personal data, such as gender, city of residence, age, or hobby.
If possible, we recommend personalising your newsletters. Research has shown that a newsletter is opened and read more often if there is a personal touch to it.
- When creating a newsletter, you can indicate which subscriber variable(s) you want to use to personalise your newsletter in the editor (in Step 4).
- To do this, first click a text block, and Subscriber variables (on the left side, above the field where you can enter your text). You can then select the variable(s) you want to use in your newsletter. The text will then show, for example {{firstname}}.
- When sending your newsletter, our application connects your subscriber's email to their first name.
You can also personalise the subject line. For this, click the 'Personalise' button in Step 1, next to where you entered the subject. The same applies to the preview text.
Furthermore, you can also add subscriber variables in a ready-made newsletter (in Step 3).
