What options does Laposta offer for a self-made template?

The template to be imported must be coded in plain HTML and CSS.

To indicate which elements may be changed when creating a newsletter campaign, you can use various tags in your template:

  • For editing text
  • For editing an image
  • For editing a video, and
  • For repeating blocks

It is also possible to load an RSS feed.

When creating your own template, you should realise that email clients are lagging behind when compared to browsers. Therefore, not everything is possible. In particular, Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013 have their limitations.

If you want to create your own template, there is a responsive example available. You can use it as a starting point:

github.com/laposta/boilerplate-template-1

You can import your final HTML template from the internet or your own computer. You can also import HTML code directly into Laposta.

You can import templates in your account on the page Campaigns → Templates → Import. If you want to edit your template afterwards, it is advisable to host it somewhere yourself (e.g. by putting a URL somewhere on your own website).
