How do I send subscribers with the same email address an individual birthday email?

Email addresses are automatically deduplicated by our program. You can only enter one email address per list. When sending a regular newsletter to several lists, the same email address will receive only one newsletter.

Our program is set up in such a way to make sure that emails are not perceived as spam. It is annoying to receive the same newsletter three times.

For associations and schools, with members and children sharing the same email address, this means that a birthday email cannot be sent just like that.

For a birthday email, you can overcome this problem in two ways.

Option 1: multiple lists + one campaign

First, you can put the second person in the family in a second list. The third in a third list, etc. You can then send the same birthday campaign to all the lists.

This option works well, except when two people with the same email address have their birthday on the same day. In that case, only one birthday email will be sent.

Option 2: one list with multiple dates + multiple campaigns

Secondly, you can enter the names and dates of birth of all family members in your (only) list in addition to the family's email address. You will then have to add the fields name 1, date of birth 1, name 2, date of birth 2, etc. to the list.

By setting up multiple birthday campaigns, one targeted at the date of Name 1, one targeted at the date of Name 2, etc., you can still send birthday emails to all family members.
