How quickly will my newsletter be sent?
In order to deliver the many millions of emails sent with our system quickly and reliably, we have set up an extensive mailing cluster. Your emails are delivered to the receiving mail servers from dozens of IP addresses. We use encryption if the receiving server supports it (TLS) and sign all emails using DKIM.
When it comes to delivering the emails, we have to account for the requirements of the receiving mail servers. The receiving servers pass on these requirements during the delivery of the emails. Almost always there are limits on the number of emails that may be offered within a certain time frame, or the number of connections that may be made simultaneously. In order to obtain a good deliverability, it is important to follow these instructions. Because the receiving mail servers vary per list, the speed of delivery also varies per campaign.
Another factor to consider is the load on our own servers; if a number of larger campaigns are sent out at the same time, this can slightly reduce speed.
On average, you can expect a speed of around 400,000 emails per hour. This means that a list of 20,000 subscribers is sent in about 3 minutes.
