My newsletter looks different in the mailbox than in the preview. How is that possible?
It is normal that your newsletter looks a little different in the mailbox than in the preview. Every email client displays an email in its own way. Outlook in particular is known for its slightly different display.
With our templates, we have ensured that your newsletter - albeit with minor differences - will look great in any email client, whether on desktop, tablet, or smartphone.
Due to the (slight) differences in the display in the various email clients, you cannot determine exactly what the final result will be when you create your newsletter in Step 4.
Especially the display of text (the font size, the exact font, the line spacing) varies from one email client to another. Some email clients change the colours of links and telephone numbers (the latter to show that you can click on them, e.g. to start Skype).
For this reason, it makes little sense to try to start a line in one column at the same height as a picture in the other column. It is also pointless to use spaces to change the layout of words or numbers or to hyphenate long words. In the preview, it will look right, but in the various email clients of your subscribers, it may turn out differently.
More generally, when creating your newsletter, it is wise to ensure catchy content in combination with a clear, serene design. Images can work very well, but using too many images (compared to the amount of text) is not advisable.
Finally, if you are unsure about the appearance of your newsletter, it is best to view a number of test emails in different email clients and on different devices (your mobile phone, Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
