Horizontal lines in Outlook 2016 and 2019
Within the world of email marketing, it is a well-known fact that the desktop versions of Microsoft Outlook are particularly difficult to work with (it concerns Outlook 2007/10/13/16/19).
This is because Outlook uses the Word module to display emails and not, as you might expect, a web browser. This limits the possibilities and means that dozens of 'hacks' are required to display emails the way you designed them in our program.
Sometimes a problem arises for which no solution can be found, and this is one of them. It concerns the appearance of horizontal lines in the colour of the background. These lines appear between blocks. There may be one, or there may be more.
More people have encountered this problem on the internet. On this page, Microsoft responds and admits the problem, but offers no solution. You can find more on this topic here.
How can I get rid of the lines?
At the moment there is no working solution that we can apply, but what works in many cases is adding or removing text. Another solution that sometimes works is changing the line spacing. You can try changing a few things here and there, and then use a test email to see if it is resolved.
As soon as a solution for this issue becomes available, we will incorporate it into our program. We hope that this problem will disappear in future updates of Outlook.
