How do I edit an email in an automation?

Once an email has been sent, you can no longer change it. There are two reasons for this:

  • It would be necessary to stop the automation until the email is completely ready to prevent the recipient from receiving an incomplete email;
  • Statistics are kept for each email within your automation. If it were possible to change an email in the meantime, it would no longer be clear what the statistics are about.

The solution is to copy the email and then modify it. Meanwhile, the automation can remain active. When you are done modifying the email, edit the automation (select the copy of the email instead of the original). Now that the automation has been now modified, you will need to activate the changes in the overview.

Afterwards, you can then delete the old email (and restore it if necessary). The collected statistics will be retained.
