Start automation based on date/time
With this start event, you can start an automation when a certain date is reached. The date reached is compared to a date field in one of your lists. For example, you can send an email on a birthday, or when a contract expires.
Which list?
Select the list in which the date field occurs.
Which field?
If there are several date fields in the list, you can indicate here which one it is.
When?
The automation can be sent as soon as the date is reached. But it can also be sent before or after. For this, select Before or After and specify how many days, weeks or months before or after the relevant date.
Based on day and month, or day, month and year?
Finally, you can specify whether the automation should run yearly every time the date is reached (i.e. on the basis of the day and month), or should run only once, which also takes the year into account.
The first (day and month) is useful, for example, for birthdays or annual contracts.
The second is suitable for non-recurring events, such as a wedding or the end of a contract.
