Automation building block: Wait until...

This building block enables you to put the automation on hold until certain conditions are met. You can enter multiple conditions, with the automation continuing when one of the conditions is met.

Condition based on a field value

Here you can indicate that the automation can only proceed if one of the fields of the current subscriber has a certain value.

List

Select the list from which the current subscriber in the automation should originate. (A subscriber in an automation can originate from several lists, depending on the selected start event. If the subscriber is from a different list, this condition is ignored. You can set additional conditions for other lists if required).

Here you indicate at which value the condition is met.

Condition based on an action

Here you can indicate that the automation should not proceed until a certain event has occurred. You can choose between opening an email or clicking on a link.

Opening an email

Here you can choose between opening any email, or a specific email.

Clicking a link

Here you can choose between clicking a link in any email, or in a specific email. If you choose a link in a specific email, you can indicate whether any link can be clicked to meet the condition, or select a link from the email.

Condition based on date or time

Here you can indicate that the automation should not proceed until a certain time condition is met.

First, select a time unit (hour, day of the week, day of the month, month or year). Then you indicate whether the condition is met if the moment is equal to the selected value, or before or after. Finally, select the value.

For example, you can specify that the automation may resume on a Monday (day of the week is Monday), or that the automation may not resume if it is not yet April (month later than March).

Maximum waiting time

It may happen that the conditions you have specified are never met. For example, if the automation is allowed to continue if a certain link is clicked on, but the subscriber in question does not click it. To allow the automation to continue, you can set a maximum waiting time. If this waiting time is reached, the automation continues with the next step, even if the condition(s) has or have not been met.
