What subscriber data should I enter?
To add a subscriber to your list, you need at least their email address.
However, we recommend that you import more data about your subscriber, such as first name, last name, prefix, gender and date of birth, if available. You can easily import any relevant piece of information about your subscriber. For a travel agency this could be the favourite holiday destination; for an insurance company it could be the type of car and the license plate number of the car.
It's best to enter your subscriber data the.
Afterwards, you can add extra subscriber data to existing subscribers by importing an Excel file with this subscriber data (again).
Additional subscriber data enables you to personalise your newsletters and segment your list(s). If you know their date of birth, you can send your subscribers a birthday email.
Personalisation makes your newsletters much more personal. In the salutation of your newsletter, you can, for instance, include the first name of your subscriber (Dear Henry). Further on in the newsletter, you can automatically include his favourite holiday destination or the license plate number of his car. Research shows that personalisation makes your newsletters considerably more successful.
Segmentation allows you to send your newsletter to a part of your list. For instance, only women, residents of the province of North Holland or people who have indicated hockey as their favourite sport. Segmentation enables you to approach your target group in a more target-oriented way.
