Editing images

You can edit images in a special editor within our application.

If you have inserted an image into a newsletter and you move your cursor over the image, you an 'Edit image' or 'Edit' button will appear. If you click this button, the editor to alter the image will open.

Adjust

With 'Adjust', you can change the image settings. Under 'Basic', you can alter the brightness, contrast, saturation and gamma, and under 'Refinements', you can change the image's clarity, shadows, highlights, exposure, blacks, whites, temperature, and sharpness.

Transform

With 'Transform', you can adjust the image's size and resolution. You can also rotate an image, and crop it. You can enter width (w), and height (h), in the desired number of pixels yourself, or you can choose from multiple predetermined ratios and sizes, among which several social media formats.

Text

Click the A-icon to add and adjusts text(s) over your image. You can change the font, size, and colour of your text, and adjust the outline, background colour, or spacing. Additionally, you can outline text blocks and sort them in the correct order (back or front).

Filters

In the 'Filters' tab, you can choose from several filters. Click the arrow to open and select the filters. You can also adjust the intensity of the filter.

Focus

If you want to blur a part of the image, and/or draw attention to a certain part, you can choose from several quick ways with the 'Focus' tab.

Frames

In 'Frames', you can place different kinds and coloured picture frames over your image.

Stickers

With 'Stickers' you can quickly place different emoticons, images, and figures over your image. You can change the transparency of each item.

Brush

Choose the colour, tolerance and size of your brush under 'Brush' and draw in free-form. If you want to determine the colour more precisely, double click the colour to enter an RGB or HEX value.

When you are done editing, click 'Save'. The edited image is then placed in your newsletter.

Undoing changes

While you are editing an image, you can undo all changes. Once you click Save, the edited image ends up in your newsletter. You can re-edit the image after that, but you can no longer undo the previous changes.

Do you want to start over? You can place the original image in the block again.

Changing the image size

Your images are always displayed over the full width of the image block, with small margins around the picture. To show a smaller image, it's best to use the Column block. Read here how you can do this

You can also enlarge the margins under Design > Block. Check in the preview if the image is also displayed correctly on a mobile phone.

Changing the image's file size

The larger the image's file size, the longer it takes for your subscriber to load the image, and for it to show in the newsletter. Ideally, do not insert images into your newsletter that are larger than 1 MB.You can reduce the file size by scaling the image to a smaller size.

Using 'Transform', tick the 'Keep Resolution' box, and downsize the width of image, the height will be scaled automatically. In the example below, a 3884px image is scaled to 900px wide, reducing the file size from 270KB from the original 12,1 MB.

Supported formats

You can only edit PNG or JPEG type images.
