What is a sender address?

The Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) imposes a number of rules on sending newsletters. One of the rules is that it must be clear from your newsletter who has sent it.

Laposta provides this automatically. With every newsletter campaign you create, you are asked (in Step 1) which email address should be used as the sender address. Because of this sender address (for example: info@mysite.uk) the newsletter appears to have been sent by you. In fact, your newsletters are off course sent through Laposta's system.

We recommend - if possible - not sending your newsletters from a private or web mail address, but from your own domain name. This is better for the reception of your newsletters. Therefore, if possible, use newsletter@mywebsite.uk instead of mywebsite@hotmail.com.

You can find an overview of your sender addresses on the Settings page. These sender addresses can also be used as response addresses. You can also add extra email addresses on this page.
