What is a hostname?
Your newsletters are sent under your name from the Laposta system. If a subscriber requests data from your newsletter, for example by clicking on a link in your newsletter, they establish contact with our system. A hostname is used to establish this contact.
Simply put, the hostname can be seen as the name of a machine that takes care of communication between your local computer and those of your subscribers on the one hand, and our system on the other.
When your subscribers request data from your newsletter, they will see the following URL in their browser bar:
yourcompanyname.email-provider.org
In this URL, your hostname is the part before 'email-provider.org' ('yourcompanyname').
Your hostname is a nice piece of branding for your company name and/or website.
