What are the substantive differences between a Charlie and a Joe?
With a Joe template, our designers first create a draft of your newsletters. After processing your notes, and eventually your final approval, they will build this design into an HTML template. A Joe can be made digitally accessible, has a special mobile version, and can be partially generated from and RSS feed. With this type of template, you use a different editor.
For a Charlie template, our designers create a custom template using the extensive functionalities offered in our drag & drop editor. When you receive your custom Charlie template, you can work with our drag & drop editor to fill out the template.
Digitally accessible template: Joe
With a Joe-type template, you're definitely going pro. Our designers build and program this type of custom template from the ground up. All your corporate style elements can be integrated: fonts, different shapes of buttons, lines, or images and content blocks that are arranged entirely to your tastes.
In the advanced editor, you can add content into your template the way you have previously discussed with your designer. You cannot change the campaigns' designs. Additionally, you can add automatically created content, like RSS or Atoms feeds, or an automatic table of content.
A Joe template guarantees consistency of the design in every newsletter. Furthermore, you can fully comply with all digital accessibility guidelines using this template.
- to create newsletter in a custom editor
- guaranteed design consistency
- the ability to fully comply with digital accessibility guidelines
- additional options for automatically generated content and feeds, and an integrated corporate style
The advantages of a Joe
- Special request can often be realised. For instance: other fonts, button shapes, separate border style, your own icons, a wider or narrower newsletter, separate background images for each block, different image placements (diagonal, round, etc.).
- The ability to comply with digital accessibility guidelines
- Reading RSS or Atom feeds
- Control over the mobile display
- Guaranteed design consistency
Disadvantages of a Joe
- You cannot modify the template's design. Of course, Laposta can do this for you. To be clear: when building each newsletter, you are free to choose any field from the blocks the designers have created for you.
Drag & drop editor template: Charlie
