Can I also enter HTML code directly into Laposta?
Yes, you can directly enter HTML code into Laposta. Here's how:
- Start a new campaign (on the page Campaigns → Browse)
- Click the link 'Choose a different campaign type'.
- Next, select 'Import':
Start the five step plan
You can now import your newsletter and put a campaign together in five steps:
1. Fill out basic data
You start by entering, among other things, the sender address and sender name, subject, and preview text. See also: basic data.
2. Select recipients
Select the subscriber list(s) and/or the segment(s) you want to send you campaign to. See also: select recipients.
3. Import newsletter
You can now import your newsletter. For this, select the option: 'Import from computer':
By entering the HTML code, you can now build or paste your entire newsletter in Laposta. For this, you can choose inline CSS placement.
After filling everything in, you can use the Preview button to check what your newsletter will look like to your subscribers (in Step 3). Using the Testmail button, you can send the newsletter to yourself and a few others to check it.
To elaborate: when you choose inline CSS placement, the styles are added as attributes to all individual HTML tags.
The inline placement of style sheets is necessary to get your newsletter displayed correctly in a number of important email clients (notably: Gmail and Outlook). We therefore recommend that you choose this option.
Sometimes, the inline placement of style sheets can cause your newsletter page to be displayed incorrectly. This mostly happens with complex CSS. In that case, your best option is to simplify the CSS. Optionally, you can disable inlining.
4. Final check
In the final check, you can recheck your campaign. You will also see the basic data you entered, and your selected recipients.
5. Schedule delivery
Now, you determine when the campaign should be sent to your subscribers. You can do this directly, or you can use the task planner on your screen. You can also enter what email address should receive the sending confirmation.
