Do I need to set up SPF?
Nowadays, many domains make use of SPF (Sender Policy Framework). They use SPF to record which mailservers are authorised to send emails from a particular domain.
SPF is good for email deliverability. Laposta also makes use of it. You do not have to set up anything for this, even if you have already created an SPF record for your domain. We have already arranged it. We do recommend a number of other settings; those are explained on this page: authenticating your domains.
Setting up SPF
In general, it is not necessary to set up SPF. If you do want to, it is possible. In that case, you have to add our mailservers to your SPF records. It concerns the following code:
include:spf.eprov.eu
You can change this in your domain's DNS settings. The provider where you host your website usually has a web-interface for this.
If there is no SFP record yet, you can enter this code:
v=spf1 include:spf.eprov.eu ~all
If there already is a record, as is the case if you are using Office 365, then you add our servers to the record, like this:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:spf.eprov.eu ~all
If you do not have access to the DNS settings, you will have to ask your provider. If necessary, you can refer them to this webpage. Of course, you can also ask your own web builder.
