Single sign-on (SSO)
Single sign-on (SSO) is a way of authenticating that safely gives users with one set of login credentials, and one SSO-application, access to multiple applications.
If desired, logging into Laposta can also be done through single sign-on (Microsoft or SURFconext). This is only possible for a paid subscription. Contact our helpdesk to learn more about this. This setting costs 195 euros per year.
Activating Single sign-on
If you want to use single sign-on, you can inform the helpdesk. We will then set up the account. From that moment on, you can no longer log in the 'normal' way.
All users of the account have to connect with the identity provider, such as AzureAD or SURFconext, individually. They can do this by accessing the following page:
https://login.laposta.org/set/?sso=1
The user subsequently receives an email with a link, on the address corresponding to their login. By following this link, the connection is made.
Logging in after connecting
The connection ensures that working with a login and password is no longer needed. There are two ways to enter the application:
- Via https://login.laposta.org/single-sign-on; this is a page on the website where you only have click on the button from the provider;
- Or by including one of these links in your organisation's dashboard:
- https://login.laposta.org/single-sign-on/?instant-login=microsoft (for AzureAD)
-
https://login.laposta.org/single-sign-on/?instant-login=surf (for SURFconext).
