Can I still send newsletters from a Gmail address?
No, it is no longer possible to send newsletters with a Gmail sender address. Starting February 2024, Gmail has enforced new rules to limit spam. One of these rules is that you are no longer allowed to use an external application (such as Laposta) to send emails from a Gmail address. You can read more about this here.
Solution: another sender address
You can add another sender address to be able to send your newsletters. For that, you add a new sender address to your account in Settings → Sender addresses.
Read more about adding another sender address here.
Once you have added and confirmed the new sender address, you have to select the email address as a sender address in your campaign. You do this in Step 1 of the Six Step Plan, at Basic data. Click 'Save and to step 2' to use the new sender address in your campaign.
Authenticate your domain
The best option for a sender address is an email address with your own domain in it, such as info@yourwebsite.org. Since Gmail made their changes, it is especially important to authenticate the domain, and to activate this in your Laposta account.
Here, you can find out step by step how authentication works.
Recipients with a Gmail address
Do your subscribers have a Gmail address? You can still send them newsletters. To do so, authenticate your domain, as explained above.
