Installing and configuring Laposta Signup Embed in WordPress
You can find Laposta Signup Embed at: https://wordpress.org/plugins/laposta-signup-embed.
- Install the plugin from WordPress admin: In WordPress, go to Plugins > New Plugin, search for 'Laposta Signup Embed', click Install now, and then click Activate.
- Go to your plugin overview in the WordPress Dashboard, and select 'Settings' under Laposta Signup Embed.
- To connect with Laposta, you'll need an API key (from Laposta). Enter the API key and click Reset Cache.
- You will now see an overview of your lists in Laposta. Per list, you can adjust the settings for where you want to display the subscribe form. You can then place the generated shortcode anywhere in your website.
- Copy the displayed shortcode and paste it into the page where you want to show the subscribe form.
Display and design of the (embedded) subscribe form
You have several options to customize the display of the form to your preferences. For this, take a look at this documentation:
- General design and settings
- Field display and design
- Text content and design
- Inserting and formatting an image
Making edits in the list's fields visible
If you have edited the fields of a list, you need to refresh the plugin. You can do this by clicking 'Reset Cache' in Settings.
I get the error notification: 'list_id not found'. What now?
It is important that the shortcode is pasted as a shortcode. In the standard WordPress editor, and the editor of most themes, there is a special block available for this. Are you pasting the shortcode into a normal text block? Then check if the notation of your block is still correct in the text display ('Text' tab, or 'Edit as HTML' option). Sometimes a designcode is added to your shortcode, which means that the list_id can no longer be read.
