How do I create a permission campaign? (version 2)
If you decided to ask (some of) your subscribers for consent again, you can launch a permission campaign. To do this, take the following steps.
Create a list to request consent
You only need to ask consent again from subscribers of whom you have not yet recorded this permission. Make sure to Import only these subscribers into a new list.
Create a list for the subscribers who give consent
In your campaign, subscribers will soon be able to indicate that they want to continue receiving your newsletter. For those subscribers, you should also create a new, empty list.
The easiest way to do this is to click 'Copy without subscribers' in the overview of lists (under the Subscribers tab) for the list in question. The list is then ready and contains the same fields as the original.
The campaign will refer to the subscribe form that accompanies this list. You can change the layout under Subscribers → (select list) → Enrich. Check Option 1 and click 'Start' at the bottom.
Create a new campaign
In doing so, in Step 2 you select the list of subscribers you want to ask for permission.
In Step 4, when filling out the newsletter, write a clear (and persuasive) text explaining why you are asking for consent, and what the benefits of receiving your newsletter are.
Below, create a clear button or link to the subscribe form for your new list. This link can be found under Subscribers → (select list) → Enrich → Option 1 (the bottom one). Using this link, the email address is already filled in.
Send your campaign
The campaign is now ready to be sent. Please take into account that a large number of your subscribers will not subscribe again. Although this is unfortunate, at least the subscribers that remain are definitely interested in your message.
