How do I set up users' permissions?
If you have a paid Laposta account (a subscription or mailcredits), you can set up permissions and roles for an indefinite number of subscribers. If you make use of Laposta for free, you cannot do this and every user automatically has the 'admin' role.
Only admins can create new users, and assign roles and permissions.
The person who creates, or has created, the account will get the admin role by default. You can change this later. If you had a paid account before July 1st, 2024, every user in the account is an admin.
Tip: you can see your role (when you are logged in) under your account number and login name. On the Login page you can see a description of your role; click the name of your role to see exactly which permissions you do or do not have in the account.
How to set up users' permissions as an admin
If you are an admin, you will see an overview of all users in your account on the page Login → Users.
Manage
In this overview, you will see all of the users in the account. Aside from the name, language, and use of two-step verification, you can also see a mention (with link) of the assigned role. Click the relevant role to change it. For this, you can select a default role or directly define a new set of permissions (and thus define a new role). You can also click Details for a user (to the right). Under General information, you will see the data of the user and the link to have this user set up a new password. If you click the 'Permissions' button, you can see which permissions this user has. You can change this by selecting a new role or determine the separate results for this user, and recording it as a new role.
Roles
In this overview, you will see all roles present in our application by default, and roles you may have created yourself. You can modify self-defined roles and create new roles. If you click Details in the overview, you can see which permissions are attributed to this role and which users in the account have this role. If it concerns a self-defined role, you can also delete the role here.
