Placing a subscribe form on your Joomla site

By default, Joomla strips JavaScript from your articles, including the code for your subscribe form. Disable this text filter for the user placing the form. After that, paste the code into the source code of your page.

Disabling the text filter

1

Open the global configuration

In Joomla, go to System → Global configurations.

2

Open the filter settings

Click the ‘Text filters’ tab. Here you decide for each user what Joomla filters out of an article.

3

Set the filter to No Filtering

Select ‘No Filtering’ in the drop-down menu for the user placing the subscribe form.

Pasting the code on your page

1

Open the article

Go to ‘Article manager’ and click the page where the form should appear.

2

Open the source code of the editor

Go to Tools → Source code.

3

Paste the JavaScript code in the desired location

Paste the embedded subscribe form code from your Laposta account.

Refresh the page: the subscribe form is now shown.

Is it safe to disable this filter?

Joomla filters out JavaScript to protect users against malicious code. This protection is not necessary for the JavaScript code of your Laposta subscribe form, just as with a statistics counter or a YouTube video. After all, you know exactly what kind of code it is.

If you use a different system, you place the form differently. In Wix, for example, you use the ‘Embed HTML’ element.
