Connecting Magister to Laposta
Magister is a digital platform used by many secondary schools in the Netherlands for administrative and educational matters. With the connection between Magister and Laposta, you can automatically import the details of pupils and parents or guardians into your account. Every night, Laposta connects to Magister to retrieve the latest data.
Which lists, segments and fields do you get?
The pupils and parents of a single class are combined into one list, with the class included in the name of that list. This allows you to reach just one class with a newsletter, or a few classes at the same time. In addition, you get the lists ‘Alle ouders’ (All parents) and ‘Alle leerlingen’ (All pupils), which allow you to send a message to the entire school at once.
Because parents and pupils are in the same list, each list comes with a segment (filter). This allows you to address a message only to the parents or only to the pupils.
The first name, infix (tussenvoegsel) and last name are imported as fields. You can use these to personalise your newsletter.
Requesting the connection and costs
To activate the connection, a few settings need to be configured within Magister. One of our colleagues will contact the school’s Magister administrator for this.
The connection is only available in combination with a subscription. You pay a one-off fee of 295 euros for the set-up and 495 euros per year, both excluding VAT.
For more information, please contact the helpdesk at helpdesk@laposta.nl. If your school uses Somtoday, take a look at the similar connection with Somtoday.
