Connecting YOOtheme Pro to Laposta

YOOtheme Pro is a page builder for both Joomla and WordPress. The Essentials for YOOtheme Pro extension, developed by ZOOlanders, adds the ‘Laposta Action’ to it. This allows you to connect a form to a list in Laposta and automatically forward the submitted data. While standard plugins were already available for WordPress, setting up a connection like this for Joomla often required custom development.

What can you do with this connection?

The ‘Laposta Action’ passes on more than just an email address. You can use it to configure the following:

Feature	What happens
Automatic subscription	Anyone who fills in a form on your website is immediately added to the right list as a subscriber.
Send extra fields	If you also ask for a first name or city, you can link those form fields to the extra fields of your list.
Update data	If an existing subscriber fills in the form with new details, the data for this subscriber will be updated.
Automatic unsubscription	You can set up a form so that someone is immediately and permanently removed from your list after filling it in.

Setting up the connection

You set up the connection in the ZOOlanders form elements within YOOtheme Pro, not in Laposta itself. You will need an API key for this.

Retrieve your API key

Go to the ‘Connect’ page in your account to find your key or create a new one. See: Create an API key.

Enter the key in your form

Open the settings of your form in YOOtheme Pro and enter the API key under the ‘Laposta Action’.

Choose the list and map the fields

Select which list the data should be sent to, and link the fields of your form to the corresponding fields in Laposta.
