What is an API and how can you use it for integrations?

An API (application programming interface) is the connection that allows your own software to communicate directly with Laposta. The integration works behind the scenes: data is automatically sent back and forth, without anyone having to retype or export it.

Examples of what you can do with such an integration:

Integration withWhat happens
Your website or webshopThe email address of someone who places an order is automatically added to a list
Your CMS or CRMSubscriptions and unsubscribes in Laposta are processed in your own system, and changes in your contact management system are updated in Laposta
Your own system as a sending pointYou can create, populate and send a campaign from your CMS without having to log in to Laposta

The API is intended for developers. Without programming experience, you cannot use it yourself, but you can set up integrations without any coding via an automation platform such as Zapier.

What do you need to get started?

If you have never worked with the API before, start with making your first API call.
