Connecting Plausible to your campaigns

With the privacy-friendly analytics tool Plausible Analytics, you can easily keep track of how much traffic your newsletter brings to your website. However, the campaign tracking is less extensive than that of Google Analytics.

To track this traffic, you can tick the ‘Connect Google Analytics’ box in step 1 of your campaign. This enables the UTM codes, even when you work with Plausible. You do not need to configure anything else.

Laposta then automatically adds three completed UTM codes to every link in your newsletter. Plausible uses these codes to see that a visitor arrived on your website via your newsletter. You can read which codes these are and how this works for Google Analytics under Connect Google Analytics.

Viewing statistics in Plausible

You can find the visitors from your newsletter on two tabs in Plausible:

TabWhat you see there
ReferrersThe direct sources of your traffic, including email campaigns as soon as a utm_source is set
CampaignsThe results per campaign, allowing you to track one specific newsletter
