Placing an archive page with sent newsletters on your website
With Laposta’s archive feature, you can place an overview of your sent campaigns on your website without having to do any programming yourself.
For this purpose, Laposta provides a custom JavaScript for your account or accounts. You specify which lists and which campaigns should appear on the archive page. You can then place this script on your own site and determine the design yourself using CSS.
To have the archive feature set up to your specifications, you need a paid subscription. The cost is 95 euros per year, excluding VAT.
Placing your newsletters on your website yourself
Besides the Laposta archive script, there are other ways to place an overview of your newsletters on your site: manually in your CMS, via the API, or with a WordPress plugin.
Manually creating an overview in your CMS
Create a page in your CMS, for example ‘Newsletters’, and place an overview of your sent newsletters on it:
- Newsletter January 2021
- Newsletter February 2021
- And so on.
Have each line link to the webversion link of that newsletter. When visitors click through, the newsletter opens in a new window.
For your website, do not use the address of a test email or of the newsletter that you sent to yourself. That version contains your own subscriber data, which looks unprofessional.
The webversion normally cannot be found by search engines. As soon as you place the links on your website, the information in your newsletter will become searchable in Google, for example.
Creating an overview via the API or with WordPress
If you do not want to update the overview by hand with every issue, you can have it populated automatically. The difference mainly lies in how much you have to build yourself:
If you opt for the API, Retrieving all campaigns will help you get started, and you can find an example on GitHub. If you work with WordPress, you can achieve a similar result to the archive feature with the Laposta Campaigns plugin.
