Sending the rest of your campaign if you ran out of mailcredits

Without enough mailcredits, you cannot send a campaign. If you schedule multiple campaigns, they will be sent for as long as you still have credits. As soon as your credits run out, the remaining campaigns, or parts of them, will no longer be sent. In that case, not everyone will receive the campaign.

You can read what mailcredits cost and how to purchase them under subscription or not for occasional sending. How the price of a paid subscription is calculated can be found under how the price is determined.

Once you have topped up your credits, you can still send the campaign to the subscribers who did not receive it.

Creating a segment of the subscribers who did not receive the campaign

1

Open the overview of segments

Go to Subscribers → your list → View → Segment and click ‘Create new segment’.

The Segments overview stating that there are no segments yet, with the Create new segment button circled below
2

Choose to segment based on campaign results

Choose to segment based on campaign results.

The Create new segment screen with the choice at the bottom between segmenting based on subscriber data or campaign results, with campaign results circled
3

Set the condition and save

Under ‘Received’, choose ‘a.2 - have not been sent the last campaign’ or ‘a.3 - have not been sent a specific campaign’, give the segment a name, and save it.

Sending a copy of the campaign to the segment

Copy the campaign by clicking ‘Copy’ next to the relevant campaign in the campaign overview. In step 2 of the copied campaign, select the segment you have just created. This contains the subscribers who did not receive the original campaign because you ran out of credits.

Repeat this for every list to which you want to resend the campaign.

You can read about how a campaign is sent from there and how quickly this happens in How newsletters are sent.
