Why are your emails to KPN addresses not arriving?

Is your newsletter not arriving for subscribers with a KPN address, while the rest of your delivery goes through as normal? KPN uses external filter software that inspects the content of all incoming emails and rejects messages based on its findings. Every now and then, this results in false positives: newsletters that are rejected by mistake.

If this issue is not limited to KPN addresses, please first check what to do if your newsletter does not arrive.

KPN email domains

Over the years, KPN has acquired a large number of domains. Emails sent to all of the following addresses are processed by KPN’s systems:

@kpnmail.nl, @kpnplanet.nl, @planet.nl, @hetnet.nl, @wxs.nl, @freeler.nl, @xs4all.nl, @hccnet.nl, @telfort.nl, @telfortglasvezel.nl, @tiscali.nl, @tiscalimail.nl, @worldonline.nl, @12move.nl, @tip.nl, @xmsnet.nl, @kickmail.nl, @on.nl, @onsbrabantnet.nl, @onsmail.nl, @onsnet.nu, @onsneteindhoven.nl, @onsnetnuenen.nl and @snelnet.net.

Reporting a blocked newsletter to KPN

KPN has an easily accessible helpdesk specifically for spam and delivery issues. They can adjust the filter.

1

Report the problem to the KPN helpdesk

Send an email to abuse@kpnmail.nl to report that your newsletter is not being delivered. KPN will then ask you to send an example of the undelivered newsletter to an address they provide.

2

Make a copy of the campaign

Copy the campaign in Laposta so you can resend the newsletter without editing your original campaign.

3

Send a test email to the specified address

In step 4 of the copied campaign (where you add the newsletter content), send a test email to the address provided by KPN.

KPN will usually adjust the filter based on that example, ensuring your next newsletter arrives as normal.
