Resending a campaign to new subscribers
Resending allows you to send the exact same newsletter again to subscribers who were added to your list after the last delivery. You cannot edit the newsletter when resending it.
If you do want to edit the newsletter or create a next newsletter, click ‘Copy’ next to the sent campaign to copy the campaign. If you want to send it again to subscribers who have already received it but did not open it, create a segment based on campaign results.
Resending a campaign
You can resend a regular campaign that has already been sent from the campaign overview. You can resend a newsletter multiple times, whenever new subscribers have been added.
Click Resend next to the campaign
Go to Campaigns → Overview and click ‘Resend’ in the row of the sent newsletter.
If you do not want to do this manually each time, you can use an automation to configure that new sign-ups automatically receive your last campaign. Read how this works in Resending a campaign automatically.
Which subscribers receive the resend
You can only resend to new email addresses in the list or lists of the original newsletter. Laposta keeps track of which email addresses were added to those lists after the last delivery. Deleting an email address in the meantime and adding it again therefore serves no purpose for resending.
Resending when using segments
If you sent your newsletter to one or more segments, the resend window will initially show all subscribers who have been added to the list since the campaign was sent, even if they fall outside those segments. The segments are only applied when the campaign is actually sent.
The subscriber’s sign-up date for the list must be after the last delivery. Subscribers who were already on your list when the campaign was sent, but were not yet in the segment at that time, will therefore not receive the resend.
Why the sign-up date is decisive
Unlike a list, a segment is dynamic. In order to also resend to existing subscribers who entered the segment due to a change after the last delivery, Laposta would have to save the exact content of the segment at the time of delivery and compare it with the segment at the time of resending. In the meantime, however, the segment criteria may have been edited, and subscribers may fall inside or outside the segment because their details have changed, for example through profile enrichment. That is why the sign-up date for the list is decisive.
Resending for a birthday campaign
With an ongoing birthday campaign, new subscribers automatically receive a birthday email just before or on their birthday. Resending is therefore not necessary in that case.
