Where are the webversion, edit and unsubscribe links?

By default, every template includes three links that your newsletter needs. They have a fixed position, but you can move, edit and re-insert them.

LinkDefault position
Show web versionAt the top, in the second column of the preheader
Edit detailsAt the bottom, in the footer or in the marketing box
UnsubscribeAt the bottom, in the footer or in the marketing box

The webversion link is located in the second column of the preheader, the fixed top block of your newsletter. You can edit its text in the editor.

This link is not required, but Laposta strongly recommends including it. This is because images are not immediately visible in every email client.

An unsubscribe link in your newsletter is a legal requirement. Together with the edit link (‘Edit details’), it is placed at the bottom of your newsletter, below your own content.

Your account type determines where these two links are located and what you can do with them:

In the bottom block of a free account, the edit link is already waiting to be enabled. Here is how to switch it on:

1

Open the marketing block

Click on the marketing block at the bottom of your newsletter and go to ‘Settings’ in the left-hand pane.

3

Save your choice

Click on ‘Save’. The link is now displayed in the marketing box.

Have you accidentally deleted one of the three links, or would you like to place one somewhere else in your campaign?

In step 4, click on the block where you want the link to appear. Above the text field in the editor, click on ‘Variables’. Under ‘Special links’, you will find all three links, along with a subscribelink. For the unsubscribe link, you can also read about this in Restoring the unsubscribe link.

You can use this same method to move the edit link to another position, for instance at the bottom of the newsletter next to the unsubscribe link.
